Cache duration

Images served by Public Services are cached for one day. The public cache is purged every day at 00:00 UTC, allowing provider-side avatar changes to be picked up regularly.

What this means

  • A recently changed upstream avatar may remain cached until the next refresh.
  • Different URL paths or query strings may produce separate cached entries.
